 Nepal Telecom is shutting down its CDMA service and the company is converting CDMA customers to GSM service.

Some time ago, the company formally said that it would provide free SIM, voice, data, and SMS to customers who convert from CDMA service to GSM Forge service.

Nepal Telecom's CDMA customers get such facility when they go to GSM service

Stating that the CDMA service will be discontinued soon, the company said that it will provide various facilities to the customers when they leave the Sky CDMA service and go to GSMS.

Information is given on Saturday by the telecommunication for the customer who is using sky phone service to contact nearest telecommunication office to get free GSM forge SIM card they are using CDMA instead of.

What are the benefits of CDMA customers going to GSM service?

For the customer who is using Skyphone prepaid card

GSM Forge SIM card with number 976 XXXXXXX can be availed without any charge by returning the used 974 XXXXXXX range Skyphone Prepaid SIM card. The last 7 digits of the CDMA number you are using now will come in the new GSM number.

Free for 6 months you will get the offer from Nepal telecommunication SIM of GSM Forge will have monthly 300 calls, 300 SMS, and 4 GB of data. 

 within the network of Nepal, Telecom Free SMS and call minutes can be used. The balance and validity of the old CDMA number will be automatically transferred to the new number.

For Skyphone postpaid customers

GSM Forge SIM card numbered 98513 XXXXXX can be availed free of cost by returning the used 975 xxxxxxx range sky phone prepaid sim card.

Offer by Nepal Telecom CDMA customers to GSM service

The last 5 digits of the CDMA number you are using now will come in the new GSM number. You will be provided 400 minutes of monthly calls by the GSM Forge SIM with 200 SMS as well as 50 minutes of monthly calls to other networks, and 6 GB of data for free.

The new monthly number will not be subject to the minimum monthly tariff till January 2078 BS. Bills, deposits, and advances on the old CDMA number will be automatically transferred to the new number.
