👉 What Volte Is?

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is an advanced technology that delivers high-quality life-like sound over voice calls (HD Voice Quality calls) across the NT 4G Network. With VoLTE we can experience ultra-clear voice quality with reduced background noise.

According to Rajesh Joshi, spokesperson of Nepal Telecom, more than 5,000 service users have activated VoLTE service so far.

"According to our statistics, more than 5,000 customers have received bonuses for activating VoLTE service on the same day the service was launched," he said.

He also said that the number of people trying to activate VoLTE service is high.

‘Customers who want to activate VoLTE service seem to be 17 times more than they activated. Who has dialed Star 444 hash (* 444 #)? '

According to him, if this service and technology are up-to-date, then a support set is required for it. Customers cannot use the service without a support set.

He informed that talks are underway with mobile phone importing and phone manufacturing companies in Nepal for this.

"We've got Forge's advanced technology. They also need mobile sets to support them, but there aren't many such sets on the market, "said Joshi." Most of the current sets seem to be able to run VoLTE services, but the company needs to update the software on some of the older sets.

He urged the customers to keep on giving more information about it in the coming days and buy only support sets from the market.

Why VoLTE service does not work on your phone?

Most of them have complained that the telecom service is not working on their mobiles. Many of them have activated the VoLTE service by dialing Star 444 and tried to follow the process.

Telecom spokesperson Joshi said that after the mobile service users dialed Star 444 hash (* 444 #), they started dialing Star 111 hash directly.

‘Initially dial Star 444 hash (* 444 #) to see if your mobile has VOLTE technology support and if so enable it. Only then do you have to dial Star 111 hash (* 111 #), 'he said,' but most people have a lot of complaints when they dial Star 111 hash (* 111 #) directly even if their mobile set is not compatible or without adjusting the settings.

According to Joshi, in order to activate the VoLTE service, the service recipients should pay attention to three main issues.

Activate VoLTE service by dialing the first star 444 hash (* 444 #).

  • Then go to your mobile's settings to enable or activate VoLTE.
  • To do this, go to your mobile settings, tap on mobile networks, and then activate the VoLTE call there. Such settings may vary by mobile. (Settings> Mobile Networks> Turn on VoLTE call).
  • Only then dial the Star 111 hash (* 111 #) to activate the VoLTE service.
  • If all the above procedures are completed, after dialing Star 111 hash, you will get a bonus that can run for 28 days.
  • If your phone does not support VoLTE technology, you will receive this message by dialing Star 111 hash (* 111 #).

Telecom says that there are many complaints from customers as VOLTE can be activated only on very few mobile sets currently available in the market.

According to Telecom, it is seen that mobile phone companies can update VOLTE service by updating some sets through software. Telecom has urged everyone to buy a mobile phone only after knowing whether VOLTE service can be used or not even when buying a new mobile phone set in the coming days.
