Tax revenue and renewal of vehicles registered in Bagmati Pradesh can now be paid electronically.

The Bagmati state government has made arrangements to pay revenue including license fee, vehicle tax, blue book renewal fee, and fine online from Friday.

In a ceremony on Friday, the state Ministry of Transport Management and Development, Hetauda, ​​launched a digital online payment service.

All services related to vehicle taxes can be paid using the service ministry's website and citizen app.

Tax payment can be done through digital service providers such as debit cards and credit cards, mobile wallets, e-banking, according to the Transportation Management Office, Hetauda.

The state government has developed a separate Transport Management Information System (TMIS) for electronic payments.

Provision has been made for the service recipients themselves to provide information through the citizen app and the mobile apps and web portals of the concerned payment service providers so that they can see the details of registration, renewal, penalty violation, and arrears of revenue in the information system.

It will operate across the country soon

At present, this service is being operated only in Bagmati province at the initial stage but it will be implemented across the country soon, according to the provincial office. The transport office is confident that this will stop the congestion in the transport office as well as economic activities.
